A boy is collecting honey from a beehive on his farm. He accidentally breaks the cork and all the honey starts falling into his bucket. He runs back home to get a spare cork, and when he returns, he finds every drop of honey has fallen into the bucket. He knows he has to put some honey back or the bees will die. If he puts too much, he might drown the queen. He has to replace exactly 4 cups of honey into the beehive. He searches his equipment, and can only find a drinking glass that holds 3 cups, and a small pan that can hold 5 cups. How can the boy save the hive?

Use the pan to get a 5 cup volume then pour 3 cup volume of it into the drinking glass leaving 2 cup volume in the pan. do tis 2 times n u get 4 cups volume.

fill the pan of 5 cups and fill drinking glass with honey from the pan. In the pan is left honey of 2 cups (5 cups pan – 3 cups drinking water) put it in the hives and do it all over again and get exactly 4 cups in the hives.

scoop up 5 cups then pour some into the 3 cup and your left wit 2 cups so pour that into the hive and then do the same thing again! Easy!

He needs to pour 1 1/3 of the drinking glasses full of hunny back into the beehive. Well at least if he is going to do it the easy way. Or he fills up the pan with hunny and removes one drinking glass full, wich will leave 2 cups of hunny in the pan. then he pours whats left in the pan into the beehive and reapets once more. This will put four cups of hunny back into the hive. But I do not know the movie.

If he fills the glass half full he will have 1.5 cups. If he fills the pan half full, he will have 2.5 cups. Together, this will total 4 cups — the exact amount he needs.
As for the name of the movie, I’m still working on it!

1. fill the 5cup pan
2. pour from the 5cup into the 3cup until 3cup is full (which leaves 2 cups in the 5cup pan)
3. empty the 3cup glass
4. put the 2 remaining cups of honey from the 5cup pan into the 3cup glass (5cup pan becomes empty)
5. fill the 5cup pan again, completely
6. pour from the 5cup into the 3cup until 3cup is full
ta-dah! 4 cups left in the 5cup pan.. hehe
umm.. just a guess (thinking of honey)… from winnie the pooh? =)
