Try mothballs in a nylon kneehigh or the net bag you get oranges in. We put that in our shed and the bees and wasps stay out they don’t like the smell. Good luck
Move the wind chime well away from the house and tell them to enjoy. Anything to get them away from your house. I have been fighting the damn things for five years. I have plugged holes, sprayed with every conceiveable chemican, put moth balls around and even placed a water mist in the area and left it on for over 30 days. Turned it off and day 31 they were back. The best thing I have found is Sevin which is a chemical insecticide available at all garden centers. I am gaining as each year they seem to number less but I have not completely won the war.
spray some raid on the nest and they usually wont come back!

the only way is to plug up the hole they’ve drilled. They always come back to the same nesting spot year after year. It’s inherent to the species.
