How can I overcome my phobia of bees, wasps, hornets, mud dobbers, etc? Please help! I know that by facing my fears head on will cure me of my phobia supposedly because I have seen that stuff on TV. My apartment building stairwell is infested with wasps, bees, and hornets. I mean they are everywhere! If I lokk outside I can see about 10 at any given time and I live on the top floor so I have to take the stairs to get anywhere – plus I have a 1 year old little boy and I can’t take him anywhere because I would have to carry him down the stairs to get to the car so I could leave and i know that one of us would get stung. Any suggestions?
Spray some bug repellent.

Get in touch with your landlord. There might be a hive building nearby.

maybe go to your local library and get some books about them and even some videos and really study a little about them. Maybe you will be intrigued by them and not so scared. It is worth a shot.

Fears and Phobias can go away easily using a technique that fixes the Body’s energy system. I have seen it work and I use it on myself to overcome letdowns, disappointments etc. It works on addictions too. Goto http://www.emofree.com/ and read the home page then search the site for insect phobia. Wish u the best. ~Bob

Some fears are healthy!!! just kidding, I like the idea of spraying some strong Bug Killer. It will prevent them from coming back. Spray it all over the nests, bugs themselves, and the walls outside towards the ceiling. Don’t worry, most of them will drop dead on contact and the ones that don’t will fly away. They normally won’t sting you if you spray them.
By the way, the stings hurt, but they’re not that bad. Sometimes it’s ok to get stung, cause it toughens you up a little so you won’t be a wimp (I’m not calling you a wimp, I’m just saying). It won’t kill you if you get stung.
I got stung 21 times by hornets a few summers ago, and I was in pain, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be

You are not alone. Any sane person seeing and living around that much “buzzz” will share with you the same concern. However, on the technical side, the building should be up to code in order to get a commercial license for rental, I suppose. Check if the case of code violation applies to your building, like you can contact the local district attorney’s office or other municipal authority that deals with codes. If a violation was sited then it is the duty of the land lord to find an adequate remedy to the problem. If the problem was not related to the building in any way, which is a remote possibility, then the municipality should deal with the problem of infestation if it was related to a park nearby for example….In any way a solution could be reached after some phone research effort. Good luck
