  2. I suppose that if bees really did want to kill the butterfly, they could. But typically bees and butterflies don’t mix, and they don’t interact, therefore have no reason to fight each other. But of for some reason they did fight, it is possible for the bee to catch the butterfly, pin it down, and kill it with it’s stinger. It would die in the process, though, since when bees sting something their stingers are ripped out of their bodies. I’m not sure of there is a way for the bee to kill the butterfly without killing itself along with it, but I’m sure that if the bee and butterfly got in a fight the bee would win.

  3. I don t think that bees r interested in killind butterflies. The tactic to kill anything with no reason is a human -habit- and especially usa government tactic.
Don t let them attack against Iran.It may be the beginning of a third world war.
    These people have rights too

  4. Bees do not hunt or kill other animals or insects. They derive their food from plant sources. Their sting is a defensive response to alarm and this can kill some animals. But in my eight years as a state entomologist, I’ve never heard of a bee purposefully killing a butterfly.
    Hope that helps!

  6. they only time that a bee might kill a butterfly is when the butterfly try to enter the hive and steal some honey. usually bees do not attack other creatures but they do DEFEND themselves against threats. keeping in mind that we have more than 300 species of bees and wasps, there are some wasps who are carnivores and basically predators of other insects but most of the predators and parasitoids feed on larval stages of their prey and since butterflies are adults they usually wont get attacked.

  7. There is a type of moth that raids honey from bees nests.
I saw a programme on TV about it once. It mimicked the bee or something.
I can’t remember if they said if the bees actually attacked it if it got caught though.
So I suppose this is a cr@p answer.

The other answer is wrong though. The US does not kill for no reason. They have their reasons for waging war on anything that so much as says a bad word against them.
If their oil imports were to stop, lets say because they upset the Middle east and Russia, their society would crumble like Rome. This would cause a shift in power which would destabilise the whole world and not for the better for anybody.
So all people that would wish that the American empire would crumble – Be careful what you wish for as it might happen with disastrous consequences for everyone.

  8. Yes, they could, but bees are vegetarians. Bees do not eat butterflies so they would not attack and kill one. But if the butterfly got too close to the nest, more particularly the honey bees of Africa or South America, they would swarm to the attack and the poor butterfly would not survive a mass attack.
