This is the second inspection of my top bar bee hive after installing a 3lb. package of Italian bees on 3/28/10. I’m currently inspecting the hive once a week since it is a new colony installation. These regular inspections are needed in the beginning to make the colony is developing normally and the queen is alive and doing her job.

Inspecting two top bar hives for the second time to make sure queens are good and hive is producing larva and eggs.
