What does the term “birds and bees” exactly mean?

With all the bad economic news and many experts and people saying it will be a long term thing.?
What would be a good educational path to follow? I am being told that the trades and anything to do with growing things such as fruit and vegetables is a good thing to get into. Farming, beekeeping, animal husbandry, Etc. They are saying that college is going to be way too expensive anymore, and that soon a lot of people won’t be able to buy food because the truckers won’t be able to deliver the food.

Where did the term “The Bee’s Knees” come from and what is it’s meaning?
Where did the term “The Bee’s Knees” come from and what is it’s meaning?
I’m writing a story and was wondering what would be a better term then ‘a ton’?
Here’s the sentence of how I have it now:
~Joel had ths big fear of Mad Man Manson, who had bee going around, killing a ton of people and they enjoyed teasing him about it.
~Now you know what I mean by the term, so what can I use?
Is there an actual story that goes with the title we have all heard as “The birds and the Bees”?
We have all used at one time or another either heard or used the term “The Birds and Bees” to discribe the act of having sex, but is there an actual story written by someone that has that title and who is the author?
