Beekeeping question about re-queening or lost queen?
Does anyone know what would happen to a queen that I don’t squish when I re-queen. The queen was inside the hive so if I take it a hundred feet away from the hive it would not find its way back? Would the lone queen be able to eat on her own or would she die very quick outside the hive? Any ideas on what to do if I don’t want to kill the old queen?
