You need to answer this question if you want to be alive!!!?

In 1956, 26 African (“KILLER”) queen bees escaped into the jungles of Brazil. Now their offspring on the American Continenr number upto?

Why can queen bees sting ?

Apparently queen bees have relatively small barbs on their stingers, so they are not injured when they remove their stingers as most worker bees are. The stinger is a modified oviposter, or appendage for laying eggs.

Apparently, I do not understand bee abdominal structure. I thought that instead of laying eggs, the worker bee oviposters were modified to create stingers instead, which was why worker bees do not lay eggs like the queen bees do.

However, since queen bees do have a stinger, and even some worker bees do lay eggs (albeit unfertilized eggs), this is not totally accurate. How can a queen both sting and lay eggs ? How can worker bees sting and sometimes lay eggs?

Please help me, I really need it?

Okay, I am in my final year at university and am required to write a business plan as a group project. Our group is basing their plan on beekeeping, well… kinda beekeeping. It’s based on a queen-bee rearing programme through a process of artificial insemination. I think we have a problem because the queen bees are the only product we are selling, at £25 each. Its impossible to write up a strategy because its so limited… Do you think that even though we are a voluntary organisation, we should still be selling other products and services? If we did there would be a lot of information from previous business plans to base it on. I feel so insecure about having a minimal strategy… if someone asked me to invest £000′s in their business so they could sell queen bees at £25/each I would laugh. But I doubt my group will listen to me :(

If there is only one queen bee for every hive.. how are queen bees born or selected?
