Hiving a package of bees in a Top Bar Hive

First time beekeeper. Built a top bar hive from the plans at this link: learningbeekeeping.com Got my bees from: www.htkbeesupply.com Used this Youtuber’s method for getting the bees in the hive. I didn’t want to shake them. youtu.be I was misting them with sugar water, and completely forgot to bring out the smoker. I think I messed up with the queen cage. I couldn’t get the cork out on the candy end, and ended up pushing it in. It looked like there was enough room for them to eat around it, though. I will know soon enough. I ended up putting the feeder inside at the back of the hive, at an angle, rather than leaving it on top because I couldn’t get the top on with the feeder there. Not to mention I had to remove a bar for feeder access, and the bees were escaping.
