Honey harvest from a top-bar hive

I filmed a portion of my first harvest of honeycomb. I installed these bees in a top-bar hive on May 15, 2009.

This video shows how to finish the body of the hive. We drill the entrance holes, add the screen to the bottom, trim follower boards, and attach the legs. At this point bees can go in the hive with any waterproof cover over the top bars. In Part 6 we will make a fitted cover.
