Dave’s Bees.com – KTHB Feeder Frame

This is a feeder frame I made for my Kenya top bar hives. They use a regular top bar and the scraps leftover from making them. The scraps are 3/4 inch wide and centered on the top bar. They are easy to make by laying the scraps on a follower board and marking them to fit, leaving space for the bees all around. Then just cut, glue, and nail. I use small brads for nailing.

How do you use Ross Rounds?

We are using Ross Rounds for beekeeping, and we do not know how to package them. Can anyone provide a proper procedure from removal from frame to packaging?

Carpenter bees are eating my door frame! Help?

We’ve alreday killed about 6, but I can hear more in the hole. It’s right above my front door. Any suggestions on how to get them out and keep them out??
These are not ants. They are big, fat, buzzing bees. There is no water damage or rotting wood. The door frame is less than 2 years old.
