How do I overcomemy fear of bees?
Spring/Summer is coming and I don’t want my toddler to have this fear as well. I use to get stung alot when I was little and now I’m terrified of them. When a bee is near me, no matter how still I am, it sticks around me, lands on me, everything. When I shoo them away they come back with a vengeance.

I’d like to become a beekeeper?
I would like to become a beekeeper. I recently followed Haagen-Dazs on Facebook who have a lot of updates about helping bees for their “help the honeybees” campaign. I don’t know how legit this is (though it makes me like buying their ice cream a lot more), but based on a Google search I did, most of the info I read said that if you really want to help bees, the best thing to do is become a beekeeper (hobbyist or otherwise). I have always loved honey and bumble bees and have no fear of them – and I normally have fear of other insects. I’d like to know more about beekeeping and how to get into it. I really would like to help them because, as an avid gardener as well, I would miss them terribly, not to mention they are vital to our ecosystem and existence. So, yeah, any starting points please?

Allergic to bees- family member wants to start beekeeping?
What if you are allergic to bees but a family member wants to start beekeeping and the person who is allergic has a fear of bees?

What is up with this “fear” thing?
Why does the media insist we live in fear? Awhile back…it was the “Killer Bees”…now it’s this “Bird Flu” thing…I don’t understand why we can’t be allowed to live our lives in peace and not have something threatening all the time?
