There are carpenter bees in the eaves above my door, in a spot that is pretty hard to reach. I cant paint or treat the wood, and I’d like to avoid using pesticides. Maybe there’s a plant that can “scare” them away, or something natural i can put nearby that will have the same effect?

can anyone help me with a bee problem?
i have these huge black and yellow hairy bees living in the eaves of my garage and they are very very agressive…so agressive that i cannot even get up on a ladder and look for the nest. Anyone have any idea on how to kill them? They are all over my yard and actually seem to want to chase us. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
