Can we sustain a bee colony entirely with man-made bee’s food?
I just found out that there are sugar and corn based food supplements for bee colonies. This is purelly out of curiosity. If I don’t have enough flowers or no flowers at all in a greenhouse can I feed the whole colony with just those artificially prepared syrups? Basically,I would like to get the bees to safely produce honey in a urban area. since their trips will be shorter, they might produce honey faster.
I don’t like mass produced animal products, but it would be interesting to have individual people producing honey in small urban areas. In a small area, one could plant some sugar canes that would feed more bees than a few flowers would.
here is where i read about supplementary food :

They’re there, the two of them, too, to see a bee in the sea, and Mike with his mic.?
Why did we do this to ourselves? Why did we create so many homonyms?
I need donations for a quilting bee for an underprivileged population. What large companies will donate?
Materials preferred: cotton, linen, denim or such fabric, needles, pins, batting, thread, irons, ironing boards, quilting frames, et al
I would appreciate it if anyone has contacts.

I just can’t live with this anymore. How do I get rid of hiv?
I can’t live with this anymore. Its affecting my life so negatively. On top of the door to my garden is a huge bee hiv. They are very aggressive so I can’t open the door and my children can’t play in the back garden. If I want to destroy the hiv myself – whats the best way to go about doing that?
