I have always been interested in farming and the land. Can anyone recommend a great book that teaches the basics of agriculture? I thought for sure thay would have Agriculture for dummies but it’s on beekeeping.

Last year about 750,000 of the 2.5m hives in the US were wiped out in mysterious circumstances, and already this year the American Beekeeping Federation says there is evidence from its members that losses will be even greater this year.
This is a worldwide problem that threatens global food production

Where can I get a loan to open up a agriculture supply center for small farmers and residential gardeners?
I want to sell things like seeds, fruit trees, beekeeping supplies, hand tools, roto-tillers Etc. Not big stuff for commercial farmers. I figure with the energy crisis and its affects on the availability of food. I would be able to make money from selling things people will need to grow their own food.
I am unemployed and looking for a self employment business.
