Have you ever been attacked by a swarm of africanized bees?

i have and i still cant see outta one eye.i was paralized for a week

Beekeeping hobby? But what about africanized bees?

I’ve been considering bee keeping as a hobby, but.. the risk of africanized bees infesting my hive is kinda scary to me.
After trying to research the bee’s progress, I can’t find much information about where they’ve spread to after 2004. I read in Brazil they’ve become domesticated.. Is that also true in the states? I wouldn’t want to get attacked by my own hive.(I want to keep honeybees, not africanized ones)

Any input, please :]

Starting Beeking!?

Ok I was thinking on starting beekeeping in my grandparents back yard. I am planing on haveing a single hive with Italian Bees. No africanized bees lol. Their backyard is decent sized. I was wondering if you could tell be if it is safe. I have been thinking what could happen etc. If you could tell me what to look for, what could happen, etc. thanks,Tyler
