The rumor is that keeping a dryer sheet in your pocket will keep the bees away. I have not yet tried it because I am not willing to stand by a bee to find out. I also hear that bees do not like Marigolds. You might try planting some around your roses. Tend to your roses at dawn like I do and you won’t have to worry about the little spawns of Satan attacking you. Good Luck with your garden! I am glad to know I am not the only person with a bee phobia! :,)

The above answer is mostly correct. Multi-celled organisms formed, and were not “animals” as we know it at all. Plants and animals evolved around the same time, and it appears to have been a symbiotic relationship.
